So earlier this week, I decided to spruce up my walls downstairs... they were too bla! The easiest thing and cheapest(it was free) I decided to paint stripes on my walls like my bedroom wall. I didn't do the whole space, just hallways and the huge wall behind our tv. So there ya go:)

So I know it's out of order, I don't know how it happens... anyways I have been working on these this week. This bookcase was in my Grandparents house and then I have had it ever since we got married and it was just a cream color. So I decided to antique it more and add doors with chicken wire instead of glass or whatever. I think this is my new favorite piece. The bench is one that I already had, I just added the back and side parts, it's not the same color because I need to go get the matching one but it will do for now:)

We transformed Tory's toddler bed into a really big bed for her and she was so excited! I am excited to because now when I have family come and stay, they don't have to sleep on an air mattress anymore:)

On Sunday, it was so hot after church that we decided to fill Tory's pool up and let her swim in it. Well all the other kids got the memo and came over for a while and played too! It was so funny watching Tory and the other little girls in their little swimsuits... and Tory was always in front with her wedgie out and about, it might be time for a new swim-suit!

So I know it's been a while since I've posted something... sometimes waiting for a few minutes for each picture to download just eats away at my patience! But I thought today I would tackle this task... so here are some pictures from the last 5 months.
Paul had surgery a few days before Christmas so I had to put pictures of his knee to show you how gruesome it was. But, it is now doing just great:)
I also added a few pictures of Christmas Eve on here too to show you the fun we had with everyone over to our house since my parents had moved to Idaho before Christmas; our usual plans were messed up a bit.
Then I put pictures of Tory's 3rd birthday party on too. She loved having her cousins over to share the fun day.
And then I added a few of Paul's graduation pictures! Yep, he graduated yesterday and has a job already with Firestone Tires as a Manager. He is training for a while before he actually has his own store to manage but likes it so far.
We both have quit our previous jobs, Me working at Lee's (grocery store) and Paul working at Pepsi. It's kind of bittersweet though. I loved the people there and all the little old men that would call me their girlfriends was fun! It made me laugh and having my picture on a big poster above all the check stands is crazy but whatever makes them happy!
We are also still trying to have a baby for all of you that have been wondering but don't ever ask. Yes we still desperately want another! We found out at the doctor that I had high prolactin levels (it's a hormone by the pituitary gland) and it can cause infertility. So I have been taking medicine to bring the levels back down to normal and then things should be fine and that is why we haven't been able to conceive. It has been a hard year and a half, really hard actually and with everyone around me being able to have babies it has made me think about things a lot. Believe me, I am very happy for all of you that are and would never want you to think otherwise but it is still something that I need to work on:)
So anyways that is what has been happening for the past 5 months- hopefully that has answered a few of your questions and enjoy the pictures!

Our trip to Temple Square

Last night we went to Salt Lake and saw the lights at Temple Square and it was so much fun! There were a ton of people there (which is to be expected) but the weather was perfect; around 50' and there wasn't very much snow at all:)It was a great night!

Here is our Christmas tree this year and Tory loves it! She loves to lay under it and look up at the lights and just pretend like she lives under there:) It is really funny to watch her!

This Halloween was a lot of fun because Tory wasn't sick for one and she also loved trick or treating. We took her kind of early but the weather wasn't the best so we had to go in between rainstorms. She loved seeing all of the little kids all dressed up and all she could say was "hi kids" as we would walk by them. We also went to Lee's (the grocery store that I work at in the day) they like to give out Halloween candy to the kids and they also have a little spook alley. It's pretty fun, the one picture that I have of Tory and an "older" version of Tinker bell was so funny! He is a bagger and he told me he was dressing up like Tinker Bell too so I told him I had to get a picture with them two together but Tory didn't think it was too much of a good idea:) Halloween was so much fun with Tory and I can't wait till we have more kids to take with us:)

This past week my sister Valerie helped me completely redo this old china hutch that I found on KSL. It was so drab and not so cute before but she had so many ideas to make it cute and I think that it looks adorable:) Thanks sista!! We decided to take Tory to the Circus since it was coming to Salt Lake because she's never been to one and I haven't either. It was way fun and all the performers were really good (and flexible too!). The elephants and tigers did a lot of cool tricks and the clowns were pretty funny:) The clown with the green hair scared Tory a lot and we tried to turn her around in the picture but she was glued to me by a death grip! It was so funny:) The circus was amazing and all the treats and the lights and sounds made it all the better!

Yesterday was the annual Pepsi swim party and it was really fun:) We got to go to the aquatic center and Iron Gate Grill catered it and it was delicious! Tory always loves swimming and a free pass to the aquatic center is worth it:)

We decided to go to Hogle Zoo last Saturday because Tory loves animals so we had to go see them. Her favorite were the mommy and baby elephants and she also liked the giraffes too! It was way fun taking her but there were so many people there is was kind of crazy. Anyways we had a good day all in all and we will have to go back another time.

Yesterday was my birthday and I was a little bummed at first because I thought Paul had to go to work later on that day... but he surprised me and he had the whole day off! We went and ate at Cafe Rio and just hung out all day together because it rained all day pretty much! It was a good birthday:)

Paul told me last night that he had a surprise for me today... so all day I was wondering what we were going to do and then I got home from work and he told me that we were going to go on a picnic! At least the weather was good for it (even though it rained... again, in the morning but by the afternoon, it was great!) Tory had a lot of fun playing on the playground and we went to KFC and got some lunch... can I just say that I love my husband, he always has little tricks up his sleeves that surprise me:)

We went to Vernal for Abbie's birthday party (which was a month or so ago) and we were very lucky that Paul's grandparents came and visited. We haven't seen them since before Tory was even born so it was on overdue but happy trip:) We had a lot of fun and Abbie was so cute in her little outfit that Jenny picked out for her!

So I know that I am a little late posting this but I have just been lazy:) Anyways Paul decided that he didn't want a big party or anything for his birthday so me and Tory made cake for him and she was so excited for birthday cake! That is all I heard about the whole entire week before and the whole entire week afterwards... she is definelty a cake girl:) So we ate cake and Paul opened his presents and then afterwards he went to work... what else is new? But it was still a pretty fun day:)

Baby Animal Days

Today we decided to go to the Baby Animal Days at the American West Heritage Center so Tory could see all the little animals. And she loved it for the most part but mostly just wanted a balloon! So we bought her a balloon and then we got into the car and was all buckled in and then we all started hearing air leaking from somewhere. And we turned around and her balloon had a huge hole in the top and was dying... so we said farewell to the balloon and she had the sadest look on her face like that was the last balloon she was ever going to see again!

Tory decided the other day that her baby needed to be beautiful too, so she decided to put her glitter lipstick on her. Her face was plastered in glitter and was sticky but Tory was very proud of herself!

Las Vegas Trip...

Warning: All the pictures are backwards so start at the bottom and work your way up and it might make more sense. And by the way.. picture overload!

This past week we went to Las Vegas because we had a free hotel stay at the Riviera (the hotel was ok) and it was way different from Utah but it was a fun change... for a few days at least. We both decided that we would NEVER want to live there but for a few days it was fun. We went to Hoover Dam, an aquarium, the Bodies and Titanic Exhibit at the Luxor hotel and then the later we went to watch the Tournament of Kings at the Excalibur hotel. But there was a catch to watching Tournament of Kings... for $50 we had to ride a bus to another hotel and stay for 2 hours while people tried to make us buy a timeshare! It was horrible! I think we said no them at least 10 times and each time we said not to one person, they would go get their manager and then he would try to give us a better deal than the last person and they were not going to take no for an answer! It was brutal and but in the end we only paid $50 and got $50 of free food at certain restaurants, 2 tickets to the Tournament of Kings and $25 to play at the slots! So it was worth it because Tournament of Kings would have been $120 for both of us but we both agreed to never do that again! At the Tournament of Kings all the "kings" on horses kept waving at Tory and the "fair madens" would give Tory their tamboreens... it was hilarious and Tory loved all the horses!! The last day we were there we decided to use our $25 gambling coupon whereafter me and Tory got kicked out of the gambling area and Paul had to venture on his own... he won $10 but lost $15. So I don't know if it was really worth it but hey, it wasn't really our money that we lost. It was fun while it lasted but we're glad to be back to Utah (although the temperature was in the 60's pretty much the whole time there) and we're glad to be away from the smoke, lights and well everything in Las Vegas:)

Family Christmas Party

Last Saturday we had our family Christmas party in Newton and it was way fun! There were tons of kids, food, gifts and Santa and Mrs. Clause were there too! Tory did not like Santa nor his gift so she decided to chuck it at the ground a few times and was always off and about on her own with the baby in the stroller. It was definetly a busy day but a fun one! And Dad, I put the first picture up because I know you wanted everyone to see your modeling poses !

So we have already put up our Christmas Tree and then we decided that Tory needs her own because she always messes with the big one! She loves all the little ornaments on it and like to just sit by it and look at it all the time... and we have also painted over our 'red wall' in the kitchen... I like changes and I'm sure there are going to be plenty in our place later on!

This Halloween was a lot different than last year...First of all Paul didn't have to work! Tory woke up with a cough and didn't feel very good, but I took her Trick or Treating to Lee's and the Mall and later on we had a little party with my family at our place and told everyone to dress up... It was hilarious to see everyone's costume expecially Dads and Lances! It was still a fun day although Tory didn't feel good but I'm glad it's over!

For the 24th of July, everyone in the family (except Justin and Adrienne) went to Valerie's for the parade and later we all hung out at her house, played in the swimming pool and canal and then me and Paul drove home (again.) It was really fun I just wished me and Paul could have stayed there over night so we wouldn't have to drive again but it was still fun while it lasted:)

On Monday, Ryan stayed over for a little while so we decided to go swimming at the Aquatic Center with Tory. It was so funny because all she would do was scream Ryan's name and splash the water with her tongue hanging out! She has a lot of fun and it was nice to actually do something this summer.

On Sunday Tory was getting whiney after the first few hours so Paul decided to take her home and give her lunch, well by the time I got home Tory had eaten a hot dog which was good and was taking a nap which was also good but in her whole life she has never fallen asleep in the high-chair while eating. And when Paul put her in her crib he found a half eaten hotdog still in her mouth!

Gross and it blended in so much with the carpet that I never even noticed it all the times that I had gone up and down the stairs. Well these past few weeks we've been moving because we bought a townhome in Smithfield that is brand new! It is so nice and let's just say a lot better than living up on campus. So today is Tory's birthday and she is turning the BIG 1! I can't believe it's already been one year- she has gotten so big and can do so many things now! One of her favorite things to do is read books, ok not read but she could sit for hours and just look at pictures. She also loves anything I'm eating and anythings daddy's eating and she loves to look at any shoe that she's wearing:) She's so unique and perfect in her own way and I'm so thankful that Heavenly Father sent her to me! So Christmas has already come and gone (again) and it was really fun this year. Christmas was really fun this year with Tory and I'm glad I have my little family!

Last night we went to Salt Lake with Ryan and luckly it didn't snow or blow too bad! It was really fun and seeing Tory all bundled up was really funny! She loved being outside though and she kept making groaning noises (she usually makes those when she's excited). So Halloween has already come and gone and it was Tory's first one to get dressed up! She was a ladybug along with Lily and all they could keep doing was stare at each other's costume. It was also the first time Tory has a sucker and she was loving it! I only took her to my moms house, my friend Rachel's house, Brice and Sherry's and to Lance and Chelsea's ward. Yesterday me and Paul went to the Aggie game against BYU with Paul's family. It was fun except USU didn't win (obviously) but they did get 2 touchdowns.. Anyways we just had to take a picture with all the "wonderful" scenery behind us!

We decided that we were gonna try and help Tory along with the crawling by putting oreos in front of her- she didn't really crawl but kind of scooted her way over to them and put them right in her mouth! She LOVES them- well any kind of food really and wanted more... I guess we're just gonna have to keep trying!

Hannah's Birthday

Since Hannah was the birthday girl- she decided to dress up in all of her princess gear and dance around.. How else are you supposed to celebrate your birthday?!

For Hannah's birthday, Valerie and Shawn came down here because Hannah had to go to the doctor, so they decided to have a party at Lance and Chelsea's house. Hannah was way excited and I think all of the grandkids had fun :)

The other day, we watched Lily for Chelsea and she was so much fun! She's a lot different than Tory though...lets just say a little more active and into every thing! It was so funny to watch her with Tory too- as you can tell in these pictures Tory didn't really know what to think about Lily and then Lily grabbed Tory's hair and that just mad her so mad!
Later in the afternoon while Tory was supposed to be taking her nap, she discovered a really cool toy at the side of her bed- her lamp...and she was trying to pull it into the crib with her but the bars were in the way so her face was smashed up against them! What a crazy girl!

This past weekend, the Elders Quorum decided to go to Bear Lake and since Paul is in the presidency, we had to go. We put Torys legs in the water and she still doesn't like it but she loved the sand in her toes! It was actually really fun even though there were only a few families that went but what else can you expect?!

So I decided since Tory's hair is getting a little bit longer, that I need to style it more. I put some gel in it and used a little curling iron but she has such thin hair right now that it didn't really hold it to well. Oh well, she still looks way cute!

Well Tory has now discovered her toes... she loves to watch peoples feet and she can stare at them forever but lately she realized that she has some and when she can wiggle her legs up to her mouth- her feet are the first things to pop in:)

We went swimming at the Logan Aquatic Center and Tory doesn't really like the water AT ALL! She grunts and groans and all we do is get her feet wet. But when we layed her down on the blanket, all she could do was kick her feet and babble. It was so funny!

This was Tory's first time in a swing and she loved it!!! She would kick her feet and it would make her move a little bit and she smiled the whole time!

So last week Sarah and Kali (Paul's two little sisters) came to visit us. We went school shopping, fed the ducks at first dam, swimming at the Logan Aquatic Center, to Willow Park Zoo (oh ya that was way awesome!! JK!!) and to the Fair. Tory LOVED having them here. She played so much with them and it was nice having some company.

On Saturday we decided to go fishing in Hyrum at the reservoir. It was way too hot and Paul didn't catch anything but it was still fun to go. Although, Tory was really mad because she was tired and way hot and had never seen that much water before so she really didn't know what to think about it. Me and Tory sat on a camping chair that has a thing that shades the sun and then we put a blanket over where the sun was shining on us and then we had a water bottle with a fan on it- we were prepared!!! In the end, Tory told us (wink, wink) that she wanted to go fishing with Paul from now on and is already starting the trend of wearing the fishing hat:)

MovieWeb - Movie Photos, Videos & More

So today me and Paul went and saw the new batman movie, The Dark Knight. It was soooooo good! All I can say is that the new Batman movies are soooooooo much better than the old ones! Heath Ledger was way freakin good too, as Joker- it was a little scary.....! But if I could change one thing, I think it would be to make it a little bit shorter- it's a little long and you don't really see Two-Face come into the plot until at least half the movie is over. The woman that Batman is in love with is much better than Katie Holmes which played the main part in the last Batman movie and The Joker is a much better villain than the last one although I do wish Heath Ledger hadn't died because he is so good at playing The Joker that I'm not sure anybody else could fill his shoes. So all in all everybody definetly needs to see this movie- it's intense, scary, romantic, funny, oh and by the way I don't even remember any swearing or sexual content; and there it is. Yay!!!

Yesterday I thought it would be cute to take a picture of me and Tory. Well Tory didn't like the flash very much and she wouldn't smile so it scared her every time. So we've hit another milestone- Tory doesn't need her swing anymore (she finally falls asleep by herself in the crib!) And we got out the highchair so she can eat her rice cereal in it... It's nice to get rid of some baby things but then we just bring in more baby things! It's never gonna end!!! And I took this picture around 8:30 at night so that's why she looks a little drunk:)

When we came home from watching basketball, we had to change diapers and let them cool off! (sorry that the pictures are all turned wierd)

After we ate- Kassie, Hannah and Lily went outside to play in the water. They were so cute, especially Lily in her diaper. The one picture with Lance, Grandma and Ryan I thought was hilarious!

So for the 4th of July we went to Lewiston. We sat on dad's truck and watched the parade and Tory didn't know what to think about it. Most of the time she was fussy because she was too hot and hungry. After the parade we went to the pavilion because they have booths and fun things for kids to do- so we walked around there while Paul, Lance, Shawn, Ryan and Paul's boss played 3-3 basketball. I think they lost the first game, won the next two and lost the two after that? Anyways they had fun but were sweating like pigs! It was a hot day anyway! Hannah had to ride the little train and thought it was so fun. After we watched the boys play basketball, all the girls went back to mom's house and had to sit in front of the fans- mom you need air conditioning! I had to strip Tory down because she was so hot her clothes were soaked! The rest of the day we made lunch and waited for the fireworks at night. By the way, we made shish kabobs this year instead of hamburgers and hot dogs and it turned out good- all thanks to me:) Grandma and Grandpa Ray came over later to watch the fireworks and let me tell you, that was it's own show! The day was way fun but we missed Justin and Adrienne so here are some pictures for you:)
